Torture Tower Doesn't Sleep -The Three Daughters of Sir Torture- is a light novel written by mothy and the first novel in the Torture Tower Doesn't Sleep novel trilogy.

Summary[]

A dinner party is being held at Torcia Tower by the daughters of Lord Hank Fieron. The guests are rude young men, but despite this, they throw red streamers and confetti everywhere and all have a wonderful time. Once the guest of honor had been stretched to two meters tall, his gracious hosts declare him tired and youngest sister Maiden locks him into bed for an eternal slumber. Eldest sister Gibbet prolongs the "party" as middle sister Rack excuses herself to stargaze, covered in blood.

Feeling watched by a figure on the third floor of Torcia Tower at midnight, the thief Lloyd Lowell picks up his pace due to a burglary botched by his younger brother, Zepeto. Taking a wrong turn on his way to York City and instead heading into downtown Lion City, he peruses its businesses until stumbling upon the still-open Stella's Bar. There, he gathers information from its owner and bartender Stella Townsend about the city's economic status and potential employers, with Stella responding that the city has been on the decline and that either the Chamberlains or the sisters in Torcia Tower may hire him. As they speak, the eldest sister from Torcia, Gibbet, walks in and orders wine as Lloyd flirts with her and scopes her out as a mark. When discussing the rumors of people going missing within her tower, Gibbet clarifies they are rumors, and she and her sisters came to the tower to treat their illness with the mystical Pot of Basuzu. Deciding that pot would be his next target, Lloyd attempts to ease Gibbet into the idea of hiring him, but she turns him down gently; Stella expresses her sympathies and recommends a nearby inn for Lloyd to stay at. At the inn, Lloyd shares a room with clown Raymond Atwood, whose friendly gestures Lloyd rebuffs.

After several days and attempts to scout Torcia Tower, he decides to break in that night. The first floor is vast and empty, so Lloyd heads up to the second floor, deciding to ignore how Gibbet's sisters need the pot, too. On the second floor, Gibbet greets Lloyd and he pulls his gun on her, demanding the Pot of Basuzu. She offers it to him in exchange for his silence, however he decides to kill her, and tells Gibbet he'll make it quick and painless. The woman is confused, declaring pain to be the greatest joy humans can feel, laughing. Lloyd is instantly engulfed in a cage and he loses consciousness as the cage is fished up to the third floor. Upon reawakening, he is strapped down to a torture rack, informed its name is Josephine by its owner, Rack. Despite his pleas for help, she activates the rack, which pulls on his limbs. Even as he passes out from the pain, Rack stabs him to keep him awake.
